Eight years ago today, Maya Kathryn was born and she changed my life forever. She made me a mom. From the moment I knew she was growing inside of me, I loved her. And she has had my heart ever since...
Here are my eight wishes for you, my sweet Maya, on your eighth birthday.
#1~ I wish that you will always know how deeply you are loved by your family.
#2~ I wish that you will always know how beautiful you are on the inside as well as the outside.
#3~ I wish that you will always have the courage to choose the right and always be honest with yourself and others.
#4~ I wish that you will someday find the love of your life who will treat you with the love and respect that you deserve. Use your dad as your role model and you can't go wrong.
#5~I wish that you will do the things necessary to strengthen your testimony of Jesus Christ. And by doing those things you will truly come to know Him as your Savior.
#6~I wish that you will recognize the talents you have been blessed with and have the desire to develop them and share them with others. 
#7~I wish that you will continue to be compassionate towards others and find joy in serving those around you.
#8~I wish that you will always have peace and joy in your heart knowing that you are a daughter of a Heavenly Father that knows you and loves you. Do what you need to do to stay close to Him and you will be happy.
So there you have them, my eight wishes for my beautiful eight year old girl. I hope all of your wishes come true!
I couldn't be anymore thrilled to be your mom. I count you as one of my greatest blessings. You are such a gift to me and to our family. I love you Maya Papaya!

What a great idea to do for a birthday. My oldest, a daughter, turns 8 yrs old next month. I love Maya's dress wth the green sash around the middle. Beautiful girl.
