Bush Concert

Aric is a huge Bush fan...me, well, I don't mind them. I love a good live show so when Aric told me he wanted to get tickets I was happy to be his date.

The opening band was Dead Sara, who I actually LOVED! They might have been my favorite part of the night...

Here are some fun pictures of the show...it was a pretty small venue so we were way close.

This is hands down the best picture I have ever taken at a concert...

There were some interesting people at that show. I was worried about being old, but we were far from being the old ones there. I should have taken more pictures of the characters we saw...

Who does this??? Tattooed eyes on the back of a bald head!?

Still trying to figure out who was with who....

Actually, the very best part of the night was that I caught the drumstick that the Dead Sara drummer tossed out to the crowd. See, I am still cool.

Utah...Part 4 The Final Chapter

So the real reason we even started talking about going to Utah this summer was so that we could help our Friends of Friends, the Sampson's, tile their basement bathroom. Which we did. There was a lot of love put in that bathroom...

But we have a philosophy around here...

"If You Work Hard, You Play Harder!"

This is how the Samp-Brechts play...

We have un-birthday parties where we celebrate everyone...

We play football...

We have lots of treats...

This is what it looks like when the kids go to bed...The grown ups get to play! We eat lots of snacks while we watch good shows/movies.

Ames and I went and played/shopped in Park City one day and Aric and Mike went golfing but there are no pictures to document those fun times. Even when we were working we were having fun. We feel so blessed to have the Samps in our lives. There's a whole lot of love between us...

...most of the time.

Utah-Part 3...Gateway and Boondocks

Sorry this must be getting old for my faithful readers but I must get it all documented.

One day Ames and I took the kiddos...minus Aidan, he was at school, so sad...to Gateway for some shopping and water  playing.

Camden and Jack were hilarious to watch.

It was such a fun way to spend the afternoon!

I love this picture of my kiddies...

BOoNDocKs...
Another super fun way to spend an afternoon.

This is pretty much the only time Camden held his golf club.

This what he looked like the rest of golfing because he threw two balls in the water...

This is Mike rescuing Aric from falling in the water while he was trying to get one of Camden's balls...

I think the adults had more fun than the kids. I wish I could have gotten a picture of Amy getting a hole in one. Her reaction was priceless...fist pumping, knee jumping awesomeness.

Then the kids enjoyed some racing on the race track...

Aric and Mike took the little guys around the track but really it was all about them...

After the race track we took the kids in for some arcade fun...

Our favorite game was the jump rope one. Everyone took a shot at it...

Even Amy and I tried it...

Maya won the Jumping Jackpot!

This picture just cracks me up...

This picture is hilarious too...Ames is a little disgusted by this game.

We really wanted this day to about the kids, but honestly it was a fun afternoon for everyone.
