My Corners of Shame...

Seriously I have some issues. These corners of my house are haunting me.
First, the hall corner.

About a week and a half ago I decided to go through this Rubbermaid. It was full of the most random things ever and I was sick of seeing it in the corner of my bedroom so I decided to tackle it. For some reason I chose the hall corner to deal with it. Every time I go up the stairs I see it and in my mind I curse at it. I am a start to finish kind of gal and for the life of me I cannot finish it! I'm hoping that by posting about it, I will be more motivated to finish it once and for all.
Second, the kitchen corner.

This corner hates me. I have tried and tried to keep it clutter free but it is a magnet for random papers. Anytime I have people over, I go to great lengths to keep them from the side of the kitchen where they could see it.
And third, the laundry room corner.

I have lost count how many times I have cleaned this counter/corner. It's supposed to be a place for me to fold or put laundry but nope, it's really for junk.
Just for fun here is some "I Spy" for you...
In the hall corner, can you find a pair of tinkerbell flip flops?
In the kitchen corner, can you find a box top from a cereal box?
In the laundry room, can you find tube of chapstick?
So there you have it. My dirty little secrets. I'm hoping that by exposing them to the blog world, I might actually take care of them once and for all.
Please tell me I'm not the only one who has corners of shame...please.

Once again.....thank you for sharing! Love seeing other people's "real" stuff! You are not the only one with corners of shame. Sadly I have two ROOMS of shame....my "office" and the playroom. Once again, my new year's resolution will be to be ORGANIZED!

I don't have secret corners of shame-I have full frontal shame. HA! Its right there when you walk in any room. Embrace it, own it, and then throw it all away!

You know I have the same kitchen corner. I go through about once a month and halve it, but never get rid of if entirely.

Thank you for posting this. I have corners of shame, too. I can just never seem to get everything where it needs to go.

You make me laugh...I love that you had us play, "I Spy".

I love your corners of shame. I HATE paper that never seems to have a place or things for that matter. I have a millenium falcon (big star wars ship) that has gone from Matt's "room" to, the kids room now is sitting on my kitchen table, hmmm, should I craigslist it or throw it back in the attic where it originally came from? It's not up to me is it was originally Matt's toy and he doesn't like to get rid of stuff.
The papers I typically cram in my desk until it's overflowing and then get sick of it all and throw it all away, sometimes even if it shouldn't be thrown away. I have learned to be really good at dejunking!! Someone else always has a copy of something you might need (it's my motto anyway).

nope no corners of shame for me. everything in my life is ship shape. The state of my closet is NOT affecting my marriage right now. At all. Ryan hasn't become quiet and withdrawn because of it AT ALL. Phew. And i Don't have a (WHOLE ENTIRE)room in my house that we all call the HELL room (yep, even the 2 year old) because there isn't another word that even comes close to naming it. I know, it's hard to be this 'together'. But trust me, i am.:)

I just had to tell you that I have been thinking about this post since I read it. When I passed all of my corners yesterday I realized that they are going to be there for a while *sigh*...

No corners.

My house has drawers of shame. Lots of them. I am a stuffer. I stuff what could be in a corner into a drawer.

I also ALWAYS have piles of laundry waiting to be folded on the far side of my bed.

So if you ever come over, just glance into my room and don't open any drawers! :)

Sad, Sad Sad......

Not about your corners of shame, but you know....

I really loved working with you Jessica. And I am so happy that you are still in Young Womens at least. Even though it's not the same...

Sad...

You know I have a few of those myself and have the same problem. Even when I clean them, they don't stay that way. One of life's little annoying things we keep working on. I love you Jess I can't wait to see everyone next week. xoxo
