Window into my world...

Who knew that boys were so different from girls? Of course I knew there were things that were going to be different, but my girls never made the messes that C makes. You may think that I exaggerate but here is proof.
These are the five basic rules that all must adhere to in our house.
Rule #1 - Keep all bathroom doors shut!

Why this is so hard to remember? I do not know, but people in this house really need to be better at it because...I find him playing in the toilet, turning on the tub, or sucking on the toothpaste more times than I will ever admit.

Rule #2 - Push all the chairs in around the table!

...or else C will climb up on it and either stand on it or dump whatever he finds, like the sugar or cups of water.

Rule #3 - He can never be alone in the upstairs family room!
He will find markers and eat them. He will find scissors and play with them. He will push buttons on my sewing machine and computer. He will play with my camera and take a million pictures like this...

Rule #4 - Keep the patio door locked!
He loves to be outside. He has figured out how to open the slider and with the new deck he wants to escape.

No worries, there was actually a parent out there this time.

Rule #5- Close the pantry door all the way!
This is the most important rule, but the one that gets broken most often. C loves the pantry. C loves food...

...especially cereal...

...and crackers.

It's impossible to count how many pieces of cereal or crackers I have picked up because of this boy. The messes that I have to clean up take so much time out of my day it makes me crazy just thinking about it!
He sure is one messy little boy, but I love him...oh, do I love him!

Here's a funny little video of my messy little guy.

I totally hear ya. Every word of this post seemed to bring back a memory. It won't be long until Little John joins the fleet of mess makers that live in my house.

I am not kidding...when I read the line, "The messes that I have to clean up take so much time out of my day it makes me crazy just thinking about it." I said, "Oh, so true." out loud.

Same, same. I don't think it's a boy thing...maybe it's an 11/08 baby thing?

I am right there in your little world. At any given moment I have 6-8 babyspoons on my floor because K's favorite thing to do it open the utencil drawer and the only thing she can reach is the holder that has all of them in it. Not to mention toilet paper, recycling, or whatever else she can get her hands on.

It get's out of control. But I have given up!

I was lucky and Alex never did stuff like that. Andrea on the other hand was into anything that she could find! A few of her favorites were lotions, hairspray, shaving cream and artwork on the walls. I look back at the pictures now and can finally laugh at it:) HE IS ADORABLE!!!

Seriously, Jessica! He is so dang cute.

I remember those days... now instead of crackers and cereal, there is string cheese wrappers and Barbies EVERYWHERE!!!

Boys are FUN! Yes... you totally have to boy-proof the house, but their love can't be compared :)

Man is he a cute thing or what?! Oh how I relate. Has he been absolutely smitten by a box of tampons yet? The fun lasts for a good shower time. Give it a try :)

Love it!!! That is just like my Solomon-food messes everywhere. Cheerios, rice, and bread crumbs in bed. Good thing he is sooo adorable!

Poor Camden in the nursery. I guess no one is committed to doing whatever it takes as I am. The last time I was in nursery I nearly broke my ankle and got quite sweaty from the acrobatics I was doing to entertain him. And he never even laughed at me. Fun times.

I want to have you guys over sometime, now that we have somewhere for you to sit. We're not too far. Not too far to return some kindness. We'll be in touch.
