Eden- Hey guys, know what?...My mom's belly doesn't work. She can't get a baby in there.
Andrew-Well, my mom's works. She has a baby in her tummy right now.
Eden- A man is coming to our house and he is going to get us a baby. (caseworker-home visit)
Brayden- Well, my baby beats me up all the time. He crawls on me and hits me in the tummy.
Andrew- My baby brother tackles me all the time. (His "baby" brother is three years old.)
Jack- Yeah, well, my baby bites me like this...she opens her mouth really big and bites my arm. And she pushes me down.
Eden doesn't say a word. She just sits there looking a little bit deflated. The conversation then quickly turns to being scared of bears and looking for deer and wild turkeys. I love this age, and conversations like these are the reason I went into early childhood. Before I know it I will have to listen to conversations about Miley Cyrus and bad pictures. Can't they just stay five forever!

So cute! Kids can say the greatest things!!
i love the conversations that i hear on the way to preschool, too! good for you for writing this one down! the picture is adorable!
How cute. I hope the man that comes to your house gets you a baby real quick.
I wish I could just have a tape recorder on my kids 24/7. I love their view on life!
That is so cute that Eden wanted to share her big news with her buddies! I love that they were all trying to "one up" each other. Funny, funny kids.
Too cute! Good for you for writing it down.
I KNOW! I love it when 5 year olds have conversations! Stupid Miley!
Okay, I am laughing out loud right now. Those kids crack me up! Eden is such a GREAT public speaker. When Jack was the VIP in Primary, he hardly even looked up. Eden has no shyness. She was so adorable with the build-a-bear (so glad I finally saw it), the tap shoes, and the picture of she and Maya. She spoke so casually, as if there weren't about 30 people in the room watching her. What a cutie.
That was priceless! I love listening to little kids and the funny things they say! I hope that man brings you a baby really soon! You are in our prayers!
I agree with everyone...I love, love, love hearing the things the kids say! These kids sounded so cute expressing themselves...I know I told you this before but, I love your sidebar quotes from your girls, too...I even told my sister about the "heart breaking into pieces, one". Seriously, so cute!
I remember Cynthia telling me a story of a friend and her kid's car pool. The friends' kid came into the house crying and feeling bad because she wasn't special...
Apparently the other kids in the carpool are adopted and were telling Cynthia's friend's non-adopted kid that she wasn't as special because she wasn't especially picked out for her family.
That always cracks me up.
