Just a Note...

Dear Mr. Burger,

(Name may or may not have been changed to protect identity)

I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed the third grade Christmas program. I'm not sure if you were behind the fabulous idea of having each grade have their own performance night, but it was genius! I love how we left our house at 6:30pm and were back by 7:30pm.

I really appreciate you recognizing how my sweet Maya, former member of the "Shy Club ", needed an opportunity to step out of the crowd. So thank you for letting her play the xylophone during "Polar Puppy".

Speaking of the song Polar Puppy...I do have one inquiry...what happened to singing the good ol' classics like Frosty the Snowman, Jingle Bells, Rudolph, or Silent Night and Away in a Manger. Is it the religiousness behind some of them?.... It couldn't be, because I noticed how you threw a driedel song in there. I'm not complaining...just wondering. The hip hop Santa song was a little interesting, it definitely mixed things up.

Overall I was pleasantly surprised at how smoothly the program went and how well the kids performed. I will definitely be voting for the next levy, we need you Mr. Burger...we don't want the music to die in our school. I can't wait to see what next years Christmas program has in store...

Sincerely,

Maya's Mom

She looks beautiful. I love Christmas programs but I agree with you, "traditional" Christmas music is what I like to hear too.

Hip Hop Santa does wear really baggie pants...How fun that Maya got to play! A good music director makes ALL the difference in the world.

Look at Maya go!! She looks beautiful. :)

I am sure Mr. Burger will enjoy reading this letter. And hopefully you will get to hear some of your old favorites, next year.

I love great music teachers! More importantly, should we go ahead and sign some legal documentation that Crayton and Maya are officially to be espoused in the year 2021? Get the dowry ready...

The best part of that program was totally the "ruff!!" in polar puppy! And I love love love those programs. They start at 7:03 and you are walking out at 7:28. And my kids' think Mr. B is the best thing ever.

Go Maya! It's so fun seeing your kids perform:) Hailey got to play the xylophone on her Halloween concert. They don't have a Christmas one, though:( Bummmer! Too much politically correctness to work through, maybe.

She's adorable! And I agree, we need more pics of Camden:)

I love music programs at school. Every parent looks at their child and thinks they are the cutest child there. And every parent is right!

I feel very blessed that in this part of the country we can still enjoy faith based Christmas songs and the old favorites. I'm with you on short and sweet programs are the best. Especially when you have other young children who have to sit through it. Maya you look beautiful and I have a similar picture of Leah playing the bells. I have to post it sometime.

Polar Puppy? Does that mean I have to teach my kids about a whole other Christmas character? Sheesh!

Oh, and I think something totally low key at a house would be best for all baby ohhing and ahhing.

Bummer, I was hoping you'd be bringing that baby to Pendleton this Christmas. :)
