Showered...

I have hosted and/or been a part of at least a dozen baby showers. It was so strange to have one of  my own.

Amy hosted it at her house, with lots of help from Cynthia, Jessica, Ashley, Meghann, Stacey and Bethany. I was so overwhelmed by all of the love I felt that night. I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful support system. I know I have said it before, but I have the best friends ever!

Here are a few pictures of the festivities...

The food was AMAZING of course. The table was full of all of my favorites!  Chocolate Mint Brownies, Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars, Yummy Parm Toast thingys that Jessica makes (I'm sure there is a proper name for them), Stacey bread and LOTS of other good stuff.

There were many more who stopped by that didn't make it into pictures and unfortunately Ashley was behind the camera most of the time...so no pics of  her...thanks Ash!
Since I had no idea how quickly we were going to get Camden. I was completely unprepared. Other than having the nursery put together, I had nothing. We got a few things like, formula, bottles, diapers, and wipes while we were in South Carolina just to get us through that week. We didn't even have a crib mattress, it somehow disappeared...
We were only home for four days when I had my shower. It was so great to get stocked up on the things I so desperately needed. But more than that it was so great to have Camden meet all the women who have been there for me over the past few years. This past year has been a tough one and to be able to share this joy with all my ladies was so wonderful.
I got a lot of practical gifts, which is what I had asked for, so the gift that stood out the most was this gift from Lindsay E...

Isn't it awesome! She makes jewelry and she made this for me. I absolutely LOVE it!  She wrote me a beautiful card that explained the gift and it was the one time I lost it during the whole night. I did such a good job of keeping it together until then.
So a HUMONGOUS thank you goes out to all my ladies who came and who have dropped off gifts. Your thank you cards will be coming once my Christmas cards are done...I love you all!

You do have some great friends! That necklace is really nice. You must be related to Ev because she and Eden could be twins. Congrats again-Camden is beautiful and he couldn't have picked a better family!

What a fun time! You deserve a killer shower. Love teh necklace. I had one that had all the first initials of our family on it but I lost it at our neighborhood pool this summer! I was so sad. I think I need to just buy a new one.

Thanks for sharing your shower with all of us who love you, but couldn't be there. You have so many wonderful friends. What a great way to spend time together and just have some "girl" time. The necklace is beautiful! How I wish I could have been there. I'll be there a week from today though. I can hardly wait. Love, mom

I'm sure at the last baby shower you threw you had NO idea that very soon you would be getting one too. That is wonderful!
