Even though I was not thrilled about the trip to Utah to get my car, I decided I was going to embrace the 12 hours on the road.
So I, grab my road trip essentials...
Funyuns that are so YUMMY but not good to eat with other people in the car.
Diet Pepsi...I prefer wild cherry but there wasn't any cold to I settled for plain ol' pepsi.
3 Muskateers Mint...I grabbed the mini package. Although I didn't eat the whole package on the trip, I was tempted.
Gummy Sour Worms...I try not to chew them but it's impossible to suck on them for very long, they are meant to be chewed.
Water...just to be healthy.
A map...a giant one. Because trying to read a tiny map while driving would just not be safe.
And of course my cell phone charged and ready to go.
My I-pod chuck full of the best road trip songs ever...
Like all songs Belinda Carlise sings...
Like Erasure, I remember road tripping to Walla Walla back in my hay day with my high school buddies and Erasure was what we would sing at the top of our lungs. So this is me belting out Oh 'Lamour just for you Becca and Ky...
I have all my favorite Dave Matthews songs right at my fingertips.
And of course I take advantage of my alone time and listen to the Indigo Girls since Aric has major issues with their music I have to enjoy them all by myself.
What did we ever do before cruise control? That's what I want to know...
To make the time pass I take random pictures while I'm driving. I would literally just point and shoot. I had no idea what the pictures looked like until I met up with Aric in Butte.
So here is what I came up with...
So that's how I roll...

I can't believe you didn't polish off that whole package of mint musketeers, what self control you have. That is one of my favorite candy bars. I love the pictures of the mountains, don't get to see those here. :)
Jessica. What the...no pix of Butte?.! Come on that is where the real beauty is... How can you pass up taking a picture of a big whole in the ground? OK, maybe you were tired by then, I understand. I have driven the Butte, MT to Springfield, Utah so many times that my car's odometer in college stopped working after 243k miles. I am sure I drove it a few times while sleeping at the wheel. The good ol'days! I can't imagine then needing to get back in the car and finish going to Spokane.
I was beginning to think that we were one in the same (except you are way better at being busy than I am and the whole Latin thing...)...until i saw your snack selection. I'm not judging Jessica, but Funyuns??? And DIET Pepsi. I would have sworn you to be a Dr. Pepper girl...
Your pictures turned out beautiful! I am going to try that next time i am driving:).
Ahhh, Erasure!!! Good times, Friend, ...good times.
I would have finished the musketeers... but said I didn't.
Thank goodness for iPods. How did we function before them.
PS Jack's totally dancing to O'Lamour right now.
I'm sure you're favorite trip was driving from Boston to Fargo with your favorite Tia right????????????
I love Erasure!! I didn't think anyone else in the world liked them! Hey on your road trip sometime, stop in this little town in Montana, can't remember the name right now. But they have this old state prison that is now a museum and it is fasinating!! Also a great place to take pictures
Hey it was good to see you for the few short hours. I'm glad you made it okay. The google map was left in the printer at my house. Sorry!
I love Erasure, too. Well, you know how to make a road trip bearable!!
And uh...is that a mirage or do I see a giant, Coke, Sprite and diet Coke can in that one picture?
I love your picture collage! It looks like it was cold and crisp outside.
I would totally roadtrip with you. Minus the Funyons of course. ;)
I would road trip with you, PLUS the Funyons!
I love your music selection (ERASURE!). Reminds me of the days when my only worry was if my bangs poof was just stiff and high enough!
This is why you are skinny and I am not: I would absolutely have finished every single ounce of that good.
That trip looked pretty!
