The BEST thing about Boston...family

Having family in Boston saved me! My aunt Carolyn, her fiance Roscoe and my cousins Tommy and Neto were the BEST thing about living in Boston. It had been 14 years since I had lived there with them, being able to reconnect and spend quality time with them was the biggest blessing.

This picture was taken at Neto's birthday in July.

The girls loved playing games with Aunt Carolyn.

One of our favorite outings was heading into Jamaica Plain and spending the day with Aunt Carolyn.

Aunt Carolyn and Roscoe were so kind to take adventures with us into the city. I know it was much different than what they were used to, mostly more stressful because C was so busy and it took three adults to keep him safe!

Camden LOVED Aunt Carolyn and wanted to be near her at all times.

Camden always wanted to have his own Charlie card to get on and off the train, so Eden made him his own Charlie card. We all were patient as he used his card to get on and off the train.

I can only imagine what story C was telling...

Me and Tommy at Mr. Bartley's at Harvard...Best Burgers EVER!

This is one of my favorite pictures that I took in Boston...makes my heart hurt because I miss Boston and my Aunt Carolyn.

I still can't believe how the time we had together just flew by. I am so grateful that we made the most of every moment. Having family close made this difficult time not only bearable but so much fun. Their love and support meant the world to us. I would do it all over again just to have the opportunity to relive that quality time with my awesome family again. We knew every day we spent together was a gift and we made sure to live it up.

You do such a great job of getting out and making sure your kids experience all there is to see and do where ever you are. When you drove across country I loved the way you stopped at all of those wonderful church history spots. You got the most out of your time in Boston, too. You amaze me. I really admire you, Jessica. That last picture is incredible. I am sure Aunt Carolyn misses her Camden :).
