On Thursday night I was invited to a "Ladies Night". We all brought our wedding albums and videos. It was Bethany's lovely idea...
So we basically looked at each others albums and videos and reminisced about the sweet days of the young love we had all experienced once upon a time.
It was so fun to see what we all looked like and how our husbands have changed or not changed...We talked about what we would have done different and why we did some of the things we did. For the most part we all decided that we wouldn't have changed our choice of spouses. In fact I think it made us just appreciate them more. It also brought up some great discussion on how we met our husbands, other guys we dated, proposals, wedding/reception fiascos and of course the in-laws...
I got to make a wedding cake in honor of our little gathering. Stacey helped me cut the cake and we couldn't help ourselves we had to do the smashing in each others faces...we had to!
It was a fun night filled with yummy appetizers, good conversations and lots of laughs. It has inspired a wedding blog, but it will take a few days to get all my pictures together. So look forward to a fun wedding post...

Looks like it was so much fun! I was bummed that I missed it!
yay weddings!!! Someday i will be in the old married club. we are still giddy and cant stand to be away from each other for more than a few hours. Dont even worry about not coming to the wedding. It would have been so good to see you all , but I totally understand.
I do miss you guys a ton though. I have been talking about you alot lately. Chris is way into Guster and we talk about what guster songs remind us of what and pretty much the whole lost and gone forever album reminds me of that new years we spent making up dances to every song. oh those were the days.....
What a great night to get out. Thomas threw up twice while I was gone and it was sweet to know the husband had to deal with it instead of me.
Is that evil to admit?
Sorry I missed your class. I was totally bummed about it. Dan was at his brother's ward for his nephew's blessing so I was stuck at home imagining the wonderful pearls of wisdom you shared with the girls.
I was sad I couldn't make it. It sounded like a lot of fun! I love that you two did the whole cake thing, you look like you are really in love. Congrats...
It's amazing how in 7-10 years style and fashion can change so much.
Tell Aric I loved his thick, lusterous hair - oops! But he can't feel bad because Mike had the great bleach blonde/Zach Morris hair going on.
The cake was fantastic - no I mean it. It was fantastic that night at 11pm.... and the next morning at 9am.... oh yeah, and later on that day at 5pm. So anyways - I had to skip my dinner, thanks.
Stacey's two-timing Meghann!!!
What a fun night and pictures that will make us all smile for a long time. The cake was great and the pictures that came as a result cracked me up. I can't wait for the wedding post!
One question: What on earth is going on, on the TV in the first picture?
What a fun night. And what a comfort to know that 99% of us didn't have the IDEAL, perfect wedding. Oh boy, Amy's right though. Fashion sure does change quickly. It was so interesting to see all the men with full heads of hair! WoW!
