Dance! Edee, Dance!

After three long hours in the car we made it just in time for Eden's recital. I signed up to be the backstage mom and I am still recovering from that nonsense....Anywho....Here are some backstage photos...(Due to all the adorableness, it is impossible for me to make these pictures smaller)

The four hour ordeal just about sucked the life out of me, but it was so worth it to see Eden do her ballet performance to "Thank Heaven for Little Girls" at the end of the song, all the dads went up to carry the girls off the stage...so adorable! I didn't get very good pictures of them on stage due to the "no flash" rule, which Jessica R. totally disregarded, so she probably has better pictures than me.

And I'm telling ya, when it comes to hip shakin' my kid totally rocks!!!!! During the "hippy hippy shake" tap dance she stole the show with those hips. What can I say, the latin blood is some powerful stuff.

Overall it was a long night but I know Eden felt like a superstar. She had lots of fans there, besides me, Aric and Maya...my mom, my sister and four of her cousins came to support her. Plus there were other families there that we know and love so it was a great experience for her.

WOW. So cute! Whoever made those the tutus and hula skirts must be one awesome woman.

Glad it all worked out!

I wish I could have gone! I tried calling you and Jessica R., but couldn't get a hold of either to find out where or what time it started. Either you're a great photographer, or Eden looks SO precious in every single picture taken of her. When do I get to hear about how the wedding went?

Very cute....they grow up so fast, I'm so thankful for digital cameras so we can take lots of photos with no stress over using up the roll.

Wow! They look darling and their costumes are amazing - I wonder what super-seamstress made them? :) Eden is definitely a shaker - I can't wait to see the video.

I'm so glad you got some good pictures. Can you email me the ones with Jane?? Loved them.

And I was glad I got to the results of all that wedding work. You are a nut, but a great wedding planner.

That is one of the most adorable things I have ever seen! And the song- I think I would have been bawling at the cuteness. Does that make me a complete nut or what? You know with no girl of my own to dress in tutu's and grass skirts, I might have gotten a little teary-eyed.

Loved the dancing. Unfortunately we were unable to stay for the entire production, but I bet Mike and I were in bed by the time the whole thing wrapped up. That teacher is a crazy woman.

PS your outfits totally rocked everyone else. Simple, cute, perfect. Have I ever told you you're totally talented? And...those wedding invites were gorgeous. I'm glad things turned out well for the wedding... well maybe except the weather. You deserved the mani and pedis. And how do you get repaid? Oh yeah, a nasty cold. No fair!

Aww. so cute! That one where they are facing the barre would look so cute in b&w. We had to miss Abby's dance recital... early move.. But, I am happy to have it OVERWITH! (Kind of)

3 hours?! Please tell me the recital wasn't that far away was it?!

Either way, it was totally worth it because those pics are adorable. I can only imagine how cute the actual dances were!!
