So after seeing that Eden could totally handle getting her ears pierced Maya wanted to get hers done too. Problem was she needed to get home for a movie that her friend invited her to. She was bummed. I told her that we would see if we could squeeze it in the next day. Besides I knew there would for sure be two girls there on Saturday and Maya really needed to be doubled up.
So today after lunch we all hopped in the car and headed over to the mall. Here is my very nervous Maya waiting for her turn.
Eden was there to provide some support. Maya was totally eyeing the girl as she loaded the gun.
"One...two...THREE!" Thank goodness the girls counted. I don't think Maya would have gotten to three.
Here she is...eyes a little watery but no tears.
And true to her personality...she picked the silver balls.
I don't know why I was postponing this event. We had a lot of fun and the girls couldn't hardly stand how cute they were when it was all said and done. In the middle of it all I had an "I am the mom" moment and it was AWESOME! I am the mom that gets to watch my little girls grow up to become beautiful little ladies. I got to create this wonderful memory with them. It was a great moment.

So smart to get the dual duty. Your girls are so grown up!
You are the mom. I totally forgot that I am going to have to go through this with Laura! I'm already a bit nervous.
They both look soo cute!
When I got the twin's ears pierced, a crowd seriously gathered outside the store. Some were horrified I would do that to 12 week old babies and others thought it was so cute! I wish I would have had a blog then to document it all.
We ALLLLmost just did this at the same store for my girl's b-day! But Dad says not until age 12. That's pretty good because his mom wouldn't let her girls do it ever! Not until they got married or something and she still doesn't approve. So I'll take age 12.
I think I would have picked the basketball bling! ;)
What a totally fun big girl moment. Who doesn't remember when they got their ears pierced. Thanks for letting us share in the moment. Your girls are adorable.
Those are the two cutest posts ever! I love that Edee was so dang tought and I love Maya's cute face in the waiting picture. I love your girls! (and boy!--did he rub off on Faith the other night, or what? because she was up from 2-5 a.m. Friday...thanks a lot Camden!)
I love that they held each others hand. I love doing fun girl stuff with my girl! Too cute!!!
Your girls are lucky. My mom wouldn't let me get my ears pierced until I was 12. I eventually talked her into letting get it when I was 11. Quite the drama..... But good for you guys! I can't believe how old your girls are getting. I miss them.
We got Maddie's ears pierced when she was baptized last year, Calla was 10 and mean old me, made Tiff wait until she was 12. (and of all the girls...Tiff was the biggest baby about it)She said ouch when they pierced them:D LOL
Maya and Edie, my girls had to be 14 so they could take care of it themselves. I did it the old fashion way with a needle, potato peel and just ice. Who's brave huh? I can't remember how old I was. You are so lucky you had someone who knew what they were doing and it was quick. Anyway, I'm proud of both of you!!
OK, so I tried to use your cute little girls as inspiration for my two girls. They are identical. Taryn is sooo nervous and Brooke is like "Mom, can we go now?" But I keep putting her off because she is younger. I also recorded Jon & Kate +8 and Taryn is still hesitant. We will see what this year brings! So fun!
Gorgeous! I still remember when I got mine. Just promise me you won't let your girls wear big sunshines and bonnets :)
You are so smart to do the, "double up" thing. It never would have occured to me. That smile at the end says it all!
Hey Jess, yeah, no baby. It is killing me... All this WAITING! My in-laws don't have their trip scheduled yet, but I will let them know that you have it ready! THANK YOU!!!
I hope you are getting good use out of Jaxon and Wade's stuff!
