This guy was really really good. We were totally impressed.
We stopped at my favorite cemetery and listened to some very interesting history. This guy was telling us about Paul Revere and other less famous men in history that are buried there.
I love, Love, LOVE that Maya loves history as much as I do.
We barely made it to Faneuil Hall before it started raining buckets and buckets and buckets. No pictures of it but it was crazy. We ate at Quincy Market. We spent at least 30 minutes looking at all the food options and told the kids they could eat whatever they wanted but we all ended up eating Regina's Pizza. We just can't get enough, it is the best pizza evah!
Heading back to the car after the train ride.
On our next trip downtown we took in some more good stuff in the North End. We had to stop at the fountains, so much for telling the kids not to get wet...
Then we headed to Paul Revere's house...
Then we headed toward the Old North Church and saw some interesting stuff along the way, like this lady playing the Harry Potter Theme on her glass instrument in front of a monument of Paul Revere.
This was a memorial for soldiers made from dog tags...
The Old North Church
This church is so beautiful.
Honestly, these pictures do not do it justice...
Church services are still held here every week. These pews were reserved for prominent people and their families.
This was a very special pew...
"The Bay Pew" For the use of the Gentlemen of the Bay of Honduras 1727
After the Old North Church we were getting pretty hungry so Camden, who has become obsessed with maps since we have moved here, led us to an Italian Restaurant
Every year on our anniversary we go to an Italian restaurant for dinner because we went a small authentic Italian restaurant for dinner on our wedding night. Since I was on the road on our anniversary we decided to celebrate with the kids in tow.
The kids had their first tastes of mozzarella sticks, Camden loved them...
Eden loved them...
Maya not so much...
With our bellies full we decided to walk down to the waterfront and I caught this perfect little moment between a very happy little boy who had missed his dad and now finally had him back.
I've never been much a water person, but sights like this is warming me up to it...
Have I mentioned how much I love this city?? Well I do. And even though this is a very difficult time for us, being able to be in this city is a gift and I don't take it for granted one little bit.

How wonderful to love the city you are living in. I have never ever been to Boston, but it sounds like such a great place...maybe someday.
I would love nothing more than to have a summer visiting the east coast with my family. I am jealous beyond words. ENJOY my friend! You've earned it!!!
Hey! We are going to be there in two weeks. Wanna hook up? We fly in Thursday morning, the 12th, and head up to Maine. We'll be back down to Salem on Saturday, the 15th, and head home on the evening of the 16th (Sunday), my 40th birthday.

Please send me Maya's mozzarella sticks...since she didn't like them. I am just trying to be helpful, you know.
What a GREAT place Boston looks like. I love that you have a history enthusiast in Maya.
That glass instrument looks kind of like a giant glass carrot.
