Mommy Camp...All Mommy, All the Time

So when you are living off your savings while your husband is changing careers and unemployed, you have to get really creative on how to spend your days without spending money. It's way easier to do when you and your kids have friends to hang out with that break up the long summer days, but since we are sans friends with kids our age, I came up with "Mommy Camp".  Here is a peek into what we do...

We spend a ton of time at a nearby high school and take advantage of the football/soccer field and track. Once in awhile Aric joins us which makes it way more fun.

Ummm...just so you know, I've got some skills too...

Thank You very much.

My kids are monkeys, Maya flew up there in no time. Camden was insane, up and down that goal post. I have video of it just no pictures of it. He was freaking me out!

We try and do "Mommy Soccer Camp" at least twice a week, not even an injury cancels camp.

We also have some quality play dough time at Mommy Camp.

There is also some dress up at Mommy Camp. This was Camden's version of a rock star, Eden helped him put his costume together.

Swimming is a huge part of our camp and I will do a post on that because I've got some great pictures and stories to share. We also spend a ton of time at the library too. We are there 2-3 times a week. It is the most amazing library ever and it deserves a little more attention that I am giving it in this post. I need to take some pictures of it so you can see what I am talking about. So there you have it, "Mommy Camp", kind of lame I know but I have never spent this much quality time with my kids during the summer. It's been mostly great but I'm not gonna lie, I do miss quality time by myself...someday I will have that again and I will not take it for granted!

I love that your family is pulling together and getting closer through a difficult move. What a great lesson for your kids.

I am totally laughing at Camden's rock star outfit. He is so cute and funny!

I love the title of this post. It made me laugh when I read it. I can kid of hear an announcer's voice saying loudly, "ALL MOMMY~ ALL THE TIME!"

I am seriously impressed with your kids' play-doh skills! First of all, I love that they keep the colors seperate (John just smushes all of the colors into one big ball) and that carrot and brocolli bowl looked REAL. I thought it was rice with veggies at first.
