Our Lemonade

Shortly after my last post my life was changed forever....

(Go and read this post here so that you will know what lemonade means.)
The story is INCREDIBLY long and I have been going on just a few hours of sleep since Thursday so the long story will have to wait.
Our son, Camden Kiner, was born November 26th at around 10pm. He was 7lbs 6oz. We had no idea he was coming.

We found out he was born Thanksgiving morning while I was on my Turkey Trot, with Jessica and Cynthia running right beside me. Aric got the call that a baby was born in South Carolina and sent Mike Sampson out to find me. When he told me what was going on an emotion bigger than I have ever experienced came over me. I knew instantly in my heart he was ours. The rest of the day is a blur. We were planning on hosting Thanksgiving at our house. The poor Romney's and Stockman's came over and had to fend for themselves. Aric did manage to fry the turkey with the help of Ryan while I was pretty much on the phone or on the computer filling out paper work. I did the work of two weeks in a day. By 5:15 the next morning we were on our way to get our baby.
There have been so many miracles along the way I don't think I could post them all. We are still experiencing them. We met our courageous birthmom who is truly one of the most amazing people I have ever met. Our meeting is too sacred to even write about.
At 2pm this afternoon our precious son was put in our arms. Aric and I keep fighting over him. The Lord has held our hands through this whole experience and continues to sustain us through the prayers and faith of our dear family and friends. Things are still far from being final we still have to wait for the courts to give us permission to leave the state. They have some strict laws about inter racial and out of state adoptions so we are asking for our friends and family to join us in a special fast tomorrow. We are praying that the courts will move quickly and that we be able to get home next Saturday to be reunited with the girls and finally be home again. We feel so blessed, there are no words to express the depth of our gratitude for this amazing experience. Thank you all for your love and support. Believe it or not this is the short version. I will post again with updates soon. Oh and can I just say I love Charleston, South Carolina....the most incredible place to take pictures!

Of course he is beautiful - This Thanksgiving will always be remembered, treasured, and be held precious. It is a miracle that with loving patience you waited for him and as a blessing received him on a day always to be remembered as a day to give thanks.

Congratulations! We can't wait to meet him. May the paperwork move quickly. Happy Thanksgiving, we love you.

OK after the girls had a few minutes of looking at their sweet little brother for the first time, which was such a cute moment, I brought baby Max to the computer to check out his new cousin. After a few seconds of pensive observation, he lets out this huge belch! What a perfect expression of welcome into what will be their special little boy world! The girls and I were laughing like crazy! We love you, baby Camden, come home soon so we can get our kisses all over you :)Love, love, love, Tia Evelynne

I KNEW IT! AMAZING! I am still baffled by how you didn't know he was coming!!?? I guess I don't know enough about the adoption process, but I hope you will explain how that all happened later. Did she chose you at the last minute? How did you hook up with someone in South Carolina??? (See, I am confused)I am MORE than elated for you and can't believe you got a baby before me, and I am baking one! :) He is beautiful, and I can't believe you have a nursery all ready. Do you want my boy clothes? Because if you do, they are on their way! :)

Hey Jessica,

I'm so happy for you!!!!!! What a holiday to remember, and he is so cute! Was he born in Charleston or is that where you are for the courts? Charleston is probably Chad and my favorite city to visit...it's got places there predating the Revolutinary War--historic tours of it are awesome, (the seafood too). I don't know where you are at or how to reach you so I am hoping you read the blog comments before leaving. We don't live but a few miles from the SC state line. I emailed you our number. We'll be praying for you!

AUGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is a scream of joy!

Congratulations, I'm so stinking happy for you guys! What a special Thanksgiving surprise. That little boy is going to be so stinking spoiled between you, Aric and your little girls- and rightfully so. His birth mother could not have picked a more perfect family. I'm so glad the Lord is in charge how else would a woman in South Carolina find you guys out in Spokane? Camden is totally meant to be in your family.

I can NOT wait to meet him when I come in December. I'm afraid all the baby girls will be fighting over your adorable little guy.
